The County of Warner No. 5 is a special type of local government area called a municipal district in southern Alberta, Canada. It is located just north of the United States border. The main office for the county government is in the Village of Warner.

History of Warner County
The County of Warner No. 5 has a long history of how its local government was formed.
- In 1912, the area first started as a rural municipality, which is a type of local government for countryside areas.
- In January 1913, it officially became the Municipal District of Warner No. 36. This meant it was a recognized local government area.
- Later, in January 1923, another nearby area called the Municipal District of Sugar City No. 37 was also formed.
- Over the years, these areas changed and grew. For example, in 1942, Sugar City Municipality became larger.
- On January 6, 1950, the Warner Municipality also grew to include districts like Milk River and Coutts.
- Finally, on January 1, 1954, the County of Warner No. 5 was officially created. This new county combined parts of the old Warner and Sugar City districts.
Where is Warner County?
The County of Warner No. 5 covers about 50 townships, which are like square sections of land. Its southern edge is right along the Canada-United States border. It includes the land that used to be the Municipal District of Warner No. 36 and some of the former Municipal District of Sugar City No. 37.
