Wendy Holdener (born May 12, 1993) is a famous Swiss alpine ski racer. She is known for her skills in slalom and combined events. Wendy has won many awards, including two World Championship titles in combined events. She also has five Olympic medals, with one gold medal from the team event at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games. In 2022, she earned a silver medal in the combined event.

Wendy's Skiing Journey

Wendy Holdener started her World Cup racing career in October 2010 when she was 17 years old. Her first big success was in March 2013. She finished second in a slalom race in Ofterschwang, Germany.

In 2016, Wendy won her first two World Cup races. She also won a special trophy called the crystal globe in the combined discipline. This meant she was the best in combined events that season.

Wendy achieved her first World Cup slalom victory in November 2022 in Killington, USA. This was a very special win because she had finished in the top three many times before (30 times!) without winning a slalom race. Just two weeks later, she won another slalom race in Sestriere, Italy.

In the 2023 season, Wendy finished seventh overall in the World Cup standings. She was also second best in the slalom discipline.

World Cup Achievements

Wendy has won two season titles in the combined discipline. This means she was the best combined skier in those years.
