Wolcott is the town furthest to the east in Lamoille County. It shares borders with Orleans County to the northeast and Caledonia County to the southeast.
The Lamoille River flows through the southern part of the town. It runs from east to west. Vermont Route 15 follows the river. This road goes northwest about 8 miles (13 km) to Morrisville. It also goes southeast about 6 miles (10 km) to Hardwick. The main part of Wolcott, called the village of Wolcott, is found along Route 15.
