The Yèvre is a river in central France. It flows into the Cher river. The Yèvre runs through the Cher area in the Centre-Val de Loire region.

About the Yèvre River
The Yèvre river is about 80.6 km (50.1 mi) long. Its drainage basin (the area of land where water drains into the river) covers 4,540 km2 (1,750 sq mi). Most of this land (about 80%) is used for farming.

The River's Journey
The Yèvre river begins in the Gron area of the Cher department. This is in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. It starts about 30 km (19 mi) east of the city of Bourges. At its very start, it is called Ruisseau de Gron. The river begins at an altitude of about 185 m (607 ft) above sea level.
