About the Yèvre River

The Yèvre river is about 80.6 km (50.1 mi) long. Its drainage basin (the area of land where water drains into the river) covers 4,540 km2 (1,750 sq mi). Most of this land (about 80%) is used for farming.

Water Flow and Discharge

The average amount of water flowing through the Yèvre each year is 3.270 m3 per second. This measurement was taken near Savigny-en-Septaine over 22 years. It shows how much water moves through the river at that point.
