Yemen is a country in the Middle East. Its athletes have been part of the Summer Olympic Games since 1992. They have sent athletes to every Summer Olympics since then.

Before 1990, Yemen was two separate countries: North Yemen and South Yemen. Athletes from these areas competed in the Olympics even before 1992. North Yemen took part in 1984 and 1988. South Yemen competed in 1988. After the two parts of Yemen joined together in 1990, they started competing as one country.

The Yemen Olympic Committee helps organize Yemen's participation in the Games. It was created in 1971. The International Olympic Committee officially recognized it in 1981. So far, Yemen has not won any Olympic medals.
