Fun Places to See

Yugar Train Tunnel Memorial

The Yugar Train Tunnel Memorial shows where an old railway tunnel used to be. This tunnel was part of the Dayboro railway line, which stopped being used in 1955. The tunnel is still there today. The University of Queensland uses it to study a special group of rare bent-wing bats that live inside. Because of the bats, people are not allowed to go into the tunnel. You can find the memorial at the corner of McDowalls Road and Mount Sampson Road.
