Draper is bordered by two creeks. The South Pine River forms its southern edge. Cedar Creek runs along its northern side.
You can find Drapers Crossing, which is a shallow place in the South Pine River where you can cross it. Eatons Crossing is another shallow spot, located on Cedar Creek.

The History Behind Draper's Name
Draper gets its name from an early settler named Jacob Draper. He was born in Wiltshire, England, in 1841. Jacob moved to the Moreton Bay area in Australia in 1861. He passed away in 1913. The Drapers Crossing, a place to cross the river, is also named after him.
