Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie (born on January 7, 1982), known as Yul Edochie, is a famous Nigerian actor and politician. He has starred in many movies and is well-known in the Nigerian film industry, often called Nollywood.

Early Life and School
Yul Edochie was born on January 7, 1982. He grew up in both Lagos and Enugu, Nigeria. His father, Pete Edochie, is also a very famous actor. Yul is the youngest of six children in his family. He was named after a well-known Russian actor, Yul Brynner.
Yul went to the University of Port Harcourt. There, he studied dramatic arts. This means he learned all about acting and theater. He earned a special degree called a Bachelor of Arts in this subject.
Acting Career
Yul Edochie started his acting journey in Nollywood in 2005. His first movie was The Exquires. In this film, he acted alongside other experienced actors like Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa.
He became very popular in 2007. This was after he appeared in the movie Wind Of Glory. In this film, he worked with famous actors like Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot.
In 2015, Yul Edochie decided to help new actors learn the craft. He opened his own film academy in Lagos. This academy helps young people learn how to act and make movies.
Getting into Politics
Yul Edochie also has an interest in politics. In 2017, he decided to run for governor of Anambra State. He was the candidate for a political group called the Democratic Peoples Congress. However, another person, Willie Obiano, won the election and became governor again.
Family Life
Yul Edochie married May Aligwe when he was 21 years old. They had three sons and one daughter together. Later, in 2022, he announced that he had married another actor, Judy Austin. They have two sons and a daughter.
