The 1928–29 NHL season was the twelfth season for the National Hockey League (NHL). Ten teams played 44 games each during this exciting time. This season was special because it was the first time two teams from the United States played against each other for the Stanley Cup. The Boston Bruins won the Stanley Cup by beating the New York Rangers two games to none in the final series.
