The 9th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was a super fun event held on May 11, 1996. It took place at Universal Studios Hollywood in California.

The amazing singer Whitney Houston was the main host. Rosie O'Donnell joined in as a co-host from a boat cruise in New York Harbor! Whitney Houston made history that night. She was the first person to host the Kids' Choice Awards more than once.

During the show, actor Mark Curry passed a special "torch" to actress and rap star Queen Latifah. And guess what? He even slimed her! Getting slimed is a big part of the Kids' Choice Awards fun.
