The 2012 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was a big football competition in Brazil. It was the 56th time this top-level league was played. The league was also known as the Brasileirão Petrobras 2012 because of its sponsor.
Corinthians were the champions from the year before, in 2011. But in 2012, a different team won! On November 11, 2012, the team Fluminense won the title. This was their fourth time winning a major Brazilian football championship.
