The 2012 Trinidad Quadrangular T20 was a special Twenty20 cricket tournament. It took place in Trinidad & Tobago. This tournament celebrated Trinidad and Tobago's 50th year of independence. Four teams played in this series: Trinidad & Tobago, Barbados, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
The matches were not official Twenty20 International games. Instead, they were considered practice matches. The winning team received a prize of $50,000.

How the Tournament Worked
This tournament followed a few simple rules:

| No result | 1 point |
| Loss | 0 points |
- Each team played 3 matches.
- The team with the most points won the championship trophy.
- If two teams had the same points, the winner was decided by who won when they played each other.
- If three or more teams had the same points, the winner was decided by their Net Run Rate. This is a way to see which team scored runs faster and gave away fewer runs.
