31 was a year in the 1st century. It was a common year starting on Monday in the Julian calendar, which was the calendar used by the Romans. Back then, people knew it as the Year of the Consulship of Augustus and Seianus. A consulship was when two important leaders, called consuls, were in charge of the Roman government for a year.
