What Happened in Greece
In Sparta, a new leader named Callicratidas took charge of their navy. He replaced Lysander as the main admiral, or "navarch."
Meanwhile, the city of Athens won a major sea battle called the Battle of Arginusae. This was a big victory for them.
Aftermath of the Battle
After the Battle of Arginusae, there was a lot of anger in Athens. The Athenian general Theramenes led the complaints against eight generals who were in the battle. People were upset because these generals did not rescue the sailors who survived from the damaged ships. Because of this, the Athenian generals were held responsible and faced severe punishment.
Peace Offer Refused
After these events, Sparta tried to make peace with Athens. However, a powerful Athenian politician named Cleophon said no to their peace offer.

The Siege of Veii
In the Roman lands, their army started a very long attack on the city of Veii. This attack, known as a siege, lasted for ten years!

Invasion of Sicily
The people of Carthage once again sent their armies to invade Sicily. They attacked a city called Agrigentum.
Illness in the Camp
During this invasion, a serious illness, like a plague, spread through the Carthaginian army camp. Sadly, their general, Hannibal Mago, died from this sickness.
