Early Schools

The Railway Days

Armstrong Creek also had its own railway station. It was part of the Dayboro railway line, which opened on September 25, 1920. Trains called "railmotors" started running on the line in 1931. Armstrong Creek became a popular spot for people to visit for picnics by train. Sadly, the railway line through Armstrong Creek closed on July 1, 1955.
