Bear Brook is a small stream, also known as a tributary, located in central New Jersey, United States. It flows into the larger Millstone River. The Millstone River then joins the Raritan River, and eventually, its waters reach the Atlantic Ocean.
Where Does Bear Brook Flow?
Bear Brook begins its journey at 40°14′5″N 74°32′18″W / 40.23472°N 74.53833°W. This spot is close to Exit 8 on the New Jersey Turnpike. From there, the brook flows towards the west.
It crosses under the New Jersey Turnpike and Route 130. The brook also flows through an area called the Bear Brook Park Acquisition. This area helps protect the land around the stream.
The brook then turns northeast and connects with another small stream. It keeps flowing northwest, gathering water from more small streams along the way. Bear Brook crosses CR-571 (Princeton Hightstown Road) and Clarksville Road. Finally, it empties into the Millstone River at 40°19′30″N 74°37′4″W / 40.32500°N 74.61778°W. This meeting point is near Princeton Junction.
