Bernard Fowler, born on January 2, 1960, is an American musician. He is best known for his long work with the famous band The Rolling Stones. He has been singing backing vocals for them since 1989. Bernard has also sung on many solo albums by members of The Rolling Stones. He has released his own solo albums too. Bernard often sings for other musicians and joins them on tours. He has worked with bands like Tackhead and Bad Dog.

Bernard Fowler's Musical Journey
Bernard Fowler started his music career in the 1970s. His first recordings were with a group called The Total Eclipse in 1975. In the early 1980s, he was part of a New York City group called The Peech Boys. They had popular dance songs like "Don't Make Me Wait".
Bernard also sang on albums for other artists. He worked with Herbie Hancock on his electro-funk albums Future Shock and Sound-System. He also sang on a song written by Philip Glass and Paul Simon. Bernard was the main singer for the group Tackhead for several years. He has also appeared on albums by Herb Alpert and Michael Hutchence.
Working with The Rolling Stones
In 1985, Bernard Fowler was asked to sing backing vocals for Mick Jagger's first solo album. This was the start of a long friendship and work relationship. After working on their solo projects, Bernard joined The Rolling Stones for their Steel Wheels world tour in 1989. Mick Jagger chose Bernard because he had a wide vocal range.
