Imagine standing on top of it – the average temperature there is usually around 4 degrees Celsius, which is quite cool!
Exploring Carnedd y Filiast
The very top of Carnedd y Filiast is quite rocky. You might see several cairns there. These are piles of stones often built by hikers to mark a path or a summit. The mountain also has large, flat rock faces. These are popular for some types of climbing, offering long routes for experienced climbers.
