History of Cressier
Cressier was first mentioned in old records way back in 1080. At that time, it was called Crisei. It used to have a German name, Grissach, but that name is not used anymore.

Cressier covers an area of about 4.2 square kilometers (1.6 square miles). A big part of this land, about 69%, is used for farming. This means there are lots of fields where crops are grown.
About 19% of Cressier is covered by forests. The rest of the land, about 11%, has buildings and roads. A very small part, less than 1%, is made up of rivers or lakes.
