How the Show Was Made
Lauren Faust was asked by Warner Bros. to create the DC Super Hero Girls TV series. She had previously worked on another show called Super Best Friends Forever. The idea for the TV show was announced in May 2017.
Some of the voice actors returned for this new series. Tara Strong and Nicole Sullivan voiced Batgirl and Supergirl before. Grey Griffin, who voiced Wonder Woman in the web series, also came back. A year later, a poster was released showing the main characters. The animation for the series is done by Jam Filled Entertainment in Canada and Boulder Media in Ireland.
Many writers for DC Super Hero Girls also worked on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. That show was also created by Lauren Faust. This series is also the second time Tara Strong and John de Lancie have worked together. They voiced characters in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic too.
The show's creators are always looking for new ideas. They plan to introduce many new villains. They also want to explore new storylines for the characters.
