Dick and Dom are a British comedy duo made up of Richard "Dick" McCourt and Dominic "Dom" Wood. They are famous for hosting shows on Children's BBC in the 1990s and early 2000s. Their most well-known show was Dick and Dom in da Bungalow, a fun children's entertainment show. It was live on weekend mornings on BBC One, CBBC, and later BBC Two. This show won two BAFTA Awards and ran for five years, from 2002 to 2006.

More TV Adventures and Radio Fun
After Da Bungalow, Dick and Dom continued to entertain. From 2007 to 2008, they hosted The Sunday Morning Show on BBC Radio 1. They also presented Are You Smarter than a 10 Year Old? on Sky 1 for two series.
They starred in other popular CBBC shows like The Legend of Dick and Dom (which was nominated for a BAFTA Award) and Da Dick and Dom Dairies. They also played tiny puppet versions of themselves in Diddy Dick and Dom. This started as a part of Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow and later became its own series, including Diddy Movies and Diddy TV. In 2019, they even launched a Diddy Pod podcast for BBC Sounds.
In 2011, they explored nature in Dick & Dom Go Wild. They also hosted the UK version of Splatalot! on CBBC. That same year, they appeared in the film Horrid Henry: The Movie as game show hosts. They also lent their voices to B1 and B2 in the revived series of Bananas in Pyjamas.
In 2012, their comedy show Dick and Dom's Hoopla began on the CBBC Channel. It was like a traveling funfair with games and celebrity guests. Even though it was popular, it only ran for one series.
Educational Shows and Awards
In 2013, Dick and Dom started a new educational series called Absolute Genius with Dick and Dom. In this show, they explored the work of famous geniuses throughout history, like Archimedes. They even tried to recreate some of their amazing inventions. A special series called APPsolute Genius focused on video games in 2015. The show continued for five series, with the last one being Absolute Genius 'Monster Builds'.
Their hard work paid off! In November 2014, Dick and Dom won the Children's Presenter BAFTA award for Absolute Genius with Dick and Dom. Also, the second series of Diddy Movies won the Children's Comedy award that same year.
Books and Stage Shows
Dick and Dom have also written many successful children's books. These include Dick & Dom's slightly naughty but very silly words, Dick & Dom's Big Fat and very silly joke book, and Dick & Dom's Whoopee book of pranks. They also wrote Dick & Dom's Christmas Jokes Nuts and Stuffing and Dick v Dom Joke Battle.
They have performed in theatre too. From December 2013 to January 2014, they played King Arthur and Patsy in the West End show Spamalot. In 2015, they starred in the World's Biggest Panto at the Arena Birmingham.
Since 2005, Dick and Dom have been popular DJs at universities across the UK. They also have a live game show called Dick vs Dom (also known as Dick and Dom LIVE). This show involves the whole audience and has been performed at Butlins, UK theatres, and family festivals. In 2017, they took Dick vs Dom on its first full UK tour. They also launched a new show for Butlins in 2018 called 'Dick & Dom's Circus Showdown'.
They have appeared at many festivals, including Camp Bestival and The Big Festival. At these events, they either perform Dick vs Dom, host the main stage, or DJ with their new show, Dick vs Dom DJ Battle. In 2018, Dick vs Dom was a big hit at the Edinburgh Festival, getting great reviews. In 2019, they performed the show at the Eden Project in Cornwall and on P&O Cruises.
Voice Acting and Podcasts
In 2016, Dick and Dom voiced the characters of Unhygienix and Fulliautomatix in the British version of the animated film Asterix: The Mansions of the Gods. These characters are a constantly arguing fishmonger and blacksmith.
In 2019, they started a podcast called Cash from Chaos. It's a live game show recorded at a comedy club where the audience tries to win money from them. In 2020, they launched another podcast, The Dick and Dom Debate. In this show, they discuss funny and unimportant things in life, like fry-ups!
