Forrestdale is a suburb in Perth, Western Australia. It is part of the City of Armadale. The suburb is named after John Forrest, who was the first leader of Western Australia.

Forrestdale Lake and Wildlife
Forrestdale is home to Forrestdale Lake, a special nature reserve. This lake is very important for many waterbirds. Lots of these birds even build their nests and raise their young here.
The lake usually fills up with water during winter. Then, it tends to dry out in the summer months.
Rare Bee Habitat
The nature reserve at Forrestdale Lake is the only known place where a very rare type of native bee lives. This bee is called Neopasiphae simplicior. It is considered to be in great danger of disappearing forever.
Local Reptiles
You might also see some snakes around the nature reserve. Tiger snakes are often spotted here. Another type of snake, called a dugite, is also commonly seen.

Forrestdale has a golf course where people can play golf. There is also a private school campus here. It is part of Carey Baptist College.

The Carey Baptist College campus in Forrestdale offers education for younger students. It has programs from kindergarten and daycare up to Year 9.
