Genthod is a charming municipality located in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland. It's a lovely place nestled on the right bank of Lake Geneva, known for its beautiful scenery and quiet atmosphere.

A Look Back in Time
Genthod was first mentioned a long time ago, between 1301 and 1400, under the name Gentouz.
Where is Genthod?
Genthod covers an area of about 2.87 square kilometers (1.11 sq mi). A good portion of this land, about 36%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 8% of the area. Most of the land, around 53.7%, is developed with buildings and roads.
The municipality sits on the right side of Lake Geneva, right between the towns of Bellevue and Versoix. It includes the main village of Genthod and smaller areas called Malagny and Creux-de-Genthod. The Creux-de-Genthod yacht club is also located here.
Genthod is made up of several smaller sections or villages. These include Pierre-Grise, Rennex, Genthod itself, and Les Rousses.

Genthod has a population of about 2893 people. A significant part of the population, around 34.5%, are people from other countries. Over the past decade, the number of people living here has grown by about 25.7%.

Most people in Genthod speak French, making up about 72.9% of the population. English is the second most common language, spoken by about 11.4% of residents. German is third, spoken by 4.4% of people.

School System
