- Cedar Lake is a small, unnamed community located on M-46, about 3 miles east of Edmore. It has its own post office for P.O. box services. This community started around a railroad station in 1876. It was named Cedar Lake because of the many cedar trees in the area.

- Wyman is another small, unnamed community about 3 miles north of Edmore. It was first called "Averyville" in 1879. It had a post office that was renamed "Wyman" in 1880 and stayed open until 1944. Wyman was also a stop on the Detroit, Lansing and Northern Railroad.
