Horrid Henry is a popular British children's animated sitcom. It is based on the funny book series by Francesca Simon. The show is made by Novel Entertainment. It first aired on 31 October 2006 on ITV.
The animation style in the TV show is different from the drawings in the books. The show has been shown in over 90 countries around the world. This includes places like France, the US, Germany, and India.
The music for the show is created by Lester Barnes. Other songs are made by Lockdown Media. The series has five seasons with a total of 250 episodes. Plus, there are two special episodes!
In 2018, Nickelodeon UK got the rights to show all seasons. It started airing on Nicktoons in the UK and Ireland on 28 May 2018. Horrid Henry quickly became the most popular show on Nicktoons UK in 2018. In 2019, it was one of the top three most-watched animated shows in the UK.
Since 2020, Novel Entertainment has been making special one-hour episodes for Netflix. These include Horrid Henry's Wild Weekend and Horrid Henry's Gross Day Out.
A live-action 3D movie called Horrid Henry: The Movie was released in cinemas in 2011. It featured famous actors like Noel Fielding and Jo Brand. The movie showed events that led into the third TV series.

The podcast is hosted by Lizzie Waterworth (who voices Henry) and children's radio presenter "Silly" Sean Thorne. It features fun games, activities, and short stories based on TV episodes. Each episode lasts between 20 and 50 minutes. A second series of the podcast was planned but was postponed.
