Josh Cooley (born May 23, 1979) is an American filmmaker and artist. He is famous for directing animated movies. He directed Toy Story 4 (2019), which won an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. He also directed Transformers One (2024).
Cooley helped write the story for the movie Inside Out (2015). This movie was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Josh Cooley started his career at Pixar Animation Studios. He began as an intern, which is like a trainee. He mostly worked as a storyboard artist. A storyboard artist draws pictures that show how a movie scene will look, almost like a comic book.
