Jupiter Island is a small town located on a narrow strip of land called a barrier island. This island is also named Jupiter Island. It's found in Martin County, Florida, in the United States. The town is part of Florida's beautiful Treasure Coast.

Geography of Jupiter Island

Jupiter Island is located at coordinates 27°3′26″N 80°6′49″W / 27.05722°N 80.11361°W / 27.05722; -80.11361. It stretches along the barrier island from the border of Palm Beach County in the south. To the north, it reaches the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge.

The town has water on both sides. To the west, it's bordered by Hobe Sound and South Jupiter Narrows. To the east, you'll find the vast Atlantic Ocean. The total area of the town is about 3.6 square miles (9.27 square kilometers). About 2.7 square miles (7.02 square kilometers) of this is land, and 0.9 square miles (2.25 square kilometers) is water.
