What's the Show About?
The series follows a group of animal friends who live on a planet called Smileyland. They love to play games to keep from getting bored! But things often go hilariously wrong because of their unique personalities.
The main characters are:
- Kaeloo, a frog who can turn into a big, strong toad when she gets angry.
- Stumpy, a squirrel who isn't very smart and loves explosions.
- Quack Quack, a duck who is super smart and loves yogurt.
- Mr. Cat, a cat who loves to cheat and tease the others.
Later seasons also bring in new friends like Pretty and Eugly the rabbits, and Olaf the penguin. Their adventures are always full of surprises and silly situations!
Meet the Characters
Let's get to know the main characters who make Smileyland so interesting!
Main Characters
- Kaeloo (voiced by Emmanuel Garijo in French) is the main character. She's a happy and energetic tree frog who loves to play games. But watch out! If she gets too angry, she changes into the huge, powerful "Bad Kaeloo." In the French version of the show, it's a running joke that no one knows if Kaeloo is a boy or a girl. She is often shown as female in other languages. Kaeloo might even have a secret crush on Mr. Cat!
- Stumpy (voiced by Rémi Chapotot in French) is a red squirrel who isn't the brightest. He's obsessed with explosions, superpowers, and anything dangerous. Stumpy often gets confused and says funny gibberish. He dreams of being like his hero, Mr. Coolskin from comic books.
- Quack Quack (voiced by Rémi Chapotot in French) is a very smart and tough duck. He used to be a lab animal, which made him indestructible and super lucky. He's also completely addicted to yogurt! The only word he can say is "quack."
- Mr. Cat (voiced by Philippe Spiteri in French) is often the main troublemaker. He's a bengal cat who always wants to win, even if it means cheating. He especially loves to annoy Quack Quack, which usually makes Kaeloo angry enough to transform. Even though he can be mean, Mr. Cat seems to like Kaeloo, and she likes him back!
- Bad Kaeloo (voiced by Emmanuel Garijo in French) is Kaeloo's angry form. When Kaeloo gets really mad, she turns into this big, strong toad. Sometimes, she even changes on purpose to win games or scare others. When she's Bad Kaeloo, she's not as smart, and she often feels bad about her actions later.
Secondary Characters
New friends join the fun in later seasons!
Season 2 Friends
- Pretty (voiced by Dorothée Pousséo) is a pink rabbit who loves fashion. She can be a bit selfish and annoying, and she used to have a crush on Mr. Cat. In Season 5, she becomes good friends with the main group and stops being so mean.
- Eugly (voiced by Rémi Chapotot) is Pretty's twin sister. She looks different from Pretty, but she has a very kind heart. Eugly is quite sensitive and cries easily. She becomes Quack Quack's girlfriend!
- Olaf (voiced by Féodor Atkine) is an emperor penguin. He wants the whole world to be covered in ice! He's married to an ice cube named Olga and has a robot fridge named Serguei.
Season 5 Friends
- La Règle du Jeu (The Rules of the Games) (voiced by Valentin Papoudof) is a floating robot. She acts like the rules of the game and gives out strange punishments when people break them. She's a big challenge for the friends in Season 5.
- Stumpy's sisters (All voiced by Emilie Rollot) are Stumpy's seven younger sisters, each with their own unique personality:
- Ardoise is helpful and good with money.
- Cramoisie likes to tease others.
- Lavanade is quiet and has special powers.
- Nombril always wants Stumpy's attention.
- Poucave is curious and wants to be a journalist, so she spies on people.
- Violasse carries a balloon everywhere and has bad luck.
- Vitamine is super hyperactive and moves so fast she can barely interact with the world.
