Katy Hill (born 15 April 1971) is a well-known English television presenter. She has worked in TV and radio across the UK since 1995. Many people remember her from the popular children's show Blue Peter, which she presented from 1995 to 2000. She also hosted the big Saturday morning show Live & Kicking from 2000 to 2001.

Early Life and Learning
Katy Hill was born in Poole, Dorset. Her father, Chris, worked as a trainee vicar at a local church. Katy has an older brother named Simon and a younger sister named Naomi.
She went to St. Edward's Church of England School in Romford, London. There, she earned nine 'O' levels and four 'A' levels. Before becoming a presenter, Katy worked in a record shop. She also volunteered at a local radio station, BBC Essex. This helped her gain the experience she needed to start her career.
Katy Hill's Career Journey
Katy Hill started her media journey by volunteering at EastWard Hospital Television in Essex. She also presented a show called Katy's Capers on BBC Essex. Later, she moved to Nickelodeon.
Joining Blue Peter
While working as a secretary for BBC channel bosses, Katy kept sending her audition tapes to the editor of Blue Peter. Her hard work paid off, and she got an audition.
On 23 June 1995, Katy joined the famous Children's BBC show Blue Peter. She stayed with the show until 19 June 2000. During her time, she had many exciting adventures. She lived with a family in Mongolia for a week. She also trained with the England football squad for a special FIFA World Cup show. Katy even joined the amazing Cirque du Soleil. She was also known for making cool things from yoghurt pots and sticky-backed plastic.
For her great work on Blue Peter, Katy Hill won the 2000 Children's BAFTA Award for Best Presenter. She returned to the show for one episode on 30 March 2010. This was for the final show featuring the much-loved Blue Peter dog, Mabel.
Other TV and Radio Work
After Blue Peter, Katy presented other popular shows. These included Live & Kicking, Top of the Pops, and Football Fever. She is a big fan of Newcastle United football club. She also hosted 2000 to 1 with Michael Parkinson.
Katy also presented the BBC's travel show Holiday. She then hosted the weekend breakfast show on 95.8 Capital FM. Katy has written for many magazines too. She had a regular column for Cosmopolitan Hair & Beauty, Hello!, and Closer. In both 2000 and 2001, she presented the final of BBC One's A Song for Europe. This competition chose the UK's song for the annual Eurovision Song Contest.
In 2004, Katy appeared on the Channel 4 reality show The Games. In this show, celebrities competed in different sports. Katy came second overall among the female contestants. She won five out of the seven sports challenges.
Later in 2004, Katy co-hosted the Hit40UK radio show. She presented it with Stephanie Hirst from London. Katy decided to leave after a year due to other commitments.
Katy Hill also co-presented the concert in Trafalgar Square where the host city for the 2012 Olympics was announced. London was a candidate city. When London was chosen, Katy was seen cheering with joy alongside Olympian Kelly Holmes. Katy has also been the face of Arm & Hammer and worked on three campaigns for the company.
In May 2010, Katy started writing a weekly blog for the women's lifestyle website iVillage.co.uk. She now hosts her own lifestyle and parenting blog at www.katyhill.com.
In late 2010, Katy worked as a relief co-presenter on ITV's breakfast show Daybreak. From February 2015 to July 2017, she co-presented Heart Breakfast for Heart Radio. She worked with her former Blue Peter colleague Stuart Miles in the Four Counties region.
Katy Hill's Family Life
Katy Hill married her childhood sweetheart, record producer Andrew Frampton, in 1999. They later separated. Katy then started dating Trey Farley, who was also a presenter on Live & Kicking.
Trey proposed to Katy while they were on holiday in Venice. The couple got married in Tuscany on 4 July 2004. They now live in Los Angeles. Katy and Trey have two children: a daughter named Kaya Sky, born in 2006, and a son named Akira, born in 2007.
