Lisbon is a small community, also known as a census-designated place (CDP), located in Grafton County, New Hampshire, in the United States. It is the main village within the larger town of Lisbon. In 2020, about 965 people lived in this part of Lisbon. The entire town of Lisbon had a population of 1,621 people.

Where is Lisbon Located?

The Lisbon community is found in the southwestern part of the town of Lisbon. It sits on both sides of the Ammonoosuc River. This river flows southwest and eventually joins the Connecticut River.

Lisbon's Borders

Lisbon borders the town of Landaff to the south. To the southwest, it touches Bath, and to the northwest, it is next to Lyman. The community stretches east to a place called Pearl Lake.

Main Roads and Waterways

U.S. Route 302 is the most important road that goes through Lisbon. It travels northeast for about 10 miles (16 km) to Littleton. If you go southwest on the same road, you'll reach Woodsville, also about 10 miles (16 km away, where the Ammonoosuc River meets the Connecticut River.

The Lisbon CDP covers about 3.4 square miles (8.8 square kilometers) in total. Most of this area, about 3.3 square miles (8.6 square kilometers), is land. The rest, about 0.08 square miles (0.2 square kilometers), is water, which makes up about 2.3% of the area.
