Main Characters
- Shrek is the main hero of the Shrek movies. He's a big, green ogre who loves his swamp. Mike Myers gives Shrek his famous voice. Did you know another actor, Chris Farley, started voicing Shrek before he passed away?
- Donkey is Shrek's super talkative and loyal best friend. He is a talking donkey who often provides funny comments. Eddie Murphy voices Donkey in the films.

Main Villains
- Lord Farquaad is the main bad guy in the first Shrek movie. He is the very short ruler of Duloc. Lord Farquaad is very proud and wants to be king. John Lithgow voices him.
- Fairy Godmother is the main villain in Shrek 2. She is a powerful and tricky fairy. She tries to make sure Princess Fiona marries her son, Prince Charming. Jennifer Saunders voices her.
- Prince Charming is the son of the Fairy Godmother. He is a secondary villain in Shrek 2 and the main villain in Shrek the Third. He is very vain and wants to be king. Rupert Everett voices him.
- Rumpelstiltskin is a sneaky little man who makes magical deals. He is the main villain in Shrek Forever After. He tricks Shrek into a deal that changes everything. Walt Dohrn voices him.
- Jack and Jill are a married pair of outlaws. They are the main bad guys in the first Puss in Boots movie. Billy Bob Thornton and Amy Sedaris voice them.
- Big Jack Horner is an adult version of the character from the nursery rhyme. He is the main villain in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. He is a powerful crime lord who wants to control all magic. John Mulaney voices him.
