About the Show
The story of Lloyd in Space follows Lloyd Nebulon, a green-skinned alien from the Verdigrean species, who lives in outer space. Lloyd makes his home on the Intrepidville Space Station. He lives with his mom, Commander Norah Li Nebulon, who is the head of the space station, and his younger sister, Francine. Francine has cool special powers: she can move things with her mind (this is called telekinetic) and she can also know what others are thinking (this is called telepathic).
Lloyd's best friends are Eddie R. Horton, a human teenager with red hair; Kurt Blobberts, a huge purple blob with one eye who is part of the Blobullon species; and Douglas McNoggin, a super-smart brain with arms, legs, and a face, from a species called the Cerebellians. Together, they have many adventures and learn about growing up in space.
Meet the Characters
Main Characters
- Lloyd P. Nebulon (voiced by Courtland Mead) is a typical 13-year-old alien boy. He is kind and easygoing. Even though his mom is in charge of Intrepidville, Lloyd and his friends are often seen as "dorks" at Luna Vista Middle School. They sometimes face teasing from other classmates, especially the more popular ones. Lloyd has a crush on Brittany Boviak, a popular cheerleader who often teases him, but secretly likes him back.
- Commander Nora Li Nebulon (voiced by April Winchell) is the leader of Intrepidville and Lloyd and Francine's mom. She is strong, patient, caring, and always supports her kids. Lloyd and Francine's dad is not usually around or mentioned in the show.
- Francine Nebulon (voiced by Nicolette Little) is Lloyd's younger sister. She loves her doll, Rosie, and enjoys using her mind powers. Her favorite TV show is "The Daisy Droid Girls," which is a funny take on The Powerpuff Girls.
- Station (voiced by Brian George) is the space station's main computer. When he's active, he looks like an eyeball on a long wire connected to any computer screen. Station can sometimes be a bit worried or grumpy with others.
- Edward R. "Eddie" Horton (voiced by Justin Shenkarow) is Lloyd's human best friend. He has wavy orange hair and tries to act cool. His dad is a police officer.
- Douglas McNoggin (voiced by Pamela Hayden) is a Cerebellian, looking like a brain with glasses, arms, and legs. He is one of Lloyd's friends. Douglas is the smartest character in the show, but he is not very good at sports.
- Kurt Blobberts (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) is Lloyd's big, one-eyed friend from the Blobullon species. Kurt can sometimes be a bit slow to understand things, but he is a very kind and loving character. He is often treated the same way as the rest of his friends. Interestingly, his head can be removed from his body and still work!
Villains and Challenges
- The Zeptar's Bandit (voiced by Danny Cooksey) is a small-time criminal who tries to rob a local restaurant called Zeptar's. He is always caught by the police.
- Frontok (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) is the captain of a group of space pirates. He once held Lloyd and his friends hostage, but Commander Nebulon, Lloyd's mom, stopped him.
- The Pick-pocket is a criminal who appears in one of Eddie's memories. Eddie's dad catches him.
- Kurtlas is a funny combination of Douglas and Kurt. Lloyd suggests they team up to stop bullies. At first, Kurtlas helps smaller kids, but then he becomes a bully himself because of all the attention. Lloyd eventually stops him.
- The Preditalien is a monster that attacks Intrepidville in a story. If it scratched or bit someone, they would also turn into monsters. In the episode, it turns out to be just an illusion created by Francine to scare Lloyd and his friends, based on a comic book.
Supporting Characters
- Dunkirque (voiced by Dan Castellaneta) is Commander Nebulon's helpful assistant and second-in-command on the space station. He is tough and always follows orders.
- Larry (voiced by Eddie Deezen) is another one of Commander Nebulon's assistants. He is a purple alien who often acts a bit silly.
- Boomer (voiced by Diedrich Bader) is the mechanic who fixes all the spacecraft on Intrepidville. He is a bit goofy. In one episode, it's revealed he is actually a prince, but he gave up his royal title to his brother.
- Lou 2000 (voiced by John DiMaggio) is Station's backup computer system. He can be a bit rude and often teases Larry.
- Brittany Boviak (voiced by Anndi McAfee) is a rich and popular six-armed Tsktskian girl. She is the captain of the cheerleading squad. While she often teases Lloyd, she secretly has a crush on him.
- Megan Uno (voiced by Rachel Crane) is Brittany's best friend. She has a single eyestalk and is usually with Brittany. She can be a bit more grumpy and cares a lot about how people look.
- Cindy is a girl with two heads! One head is friendly and understanding, while the other tends to be rude and grumpy. Cindy is one of the few students who is a friend to Lloyd's group. Her good head is voiced by Tara Strong, and her grumpy head by Mayim Bialik.
- Eileen (voiced by Michelle Horn) is a girl with three eyes and four tentacles instead of arms and legs on her lower body.
- Rodney Glaxer (voiced by Warren Sroka) is the four-armed school bully. He is the quarterback of the Luna Vista crushball team (their version of American football). He often picks on kids who are not popular, especially Mendel, but also Lloyd and his friends. It's revealed that Rodney caused Lloyd's unpopularity by tripping him in first grade, which made Lloyd accidentally ruin Brittany's finger-painted picture.
- Mendel (voiced by Blake McIver Ewing) is one of the "nerds" at Luna Vista and often a target for Rodney's bullying. He hangs out with his friends Lou and Benny, and other less popular kids.
- Mrs. Barbara Bolt (voiced by Tress MacNeille) is Lloyd's robot teacher at Luna Vista Middle School. She can get very angry when students are misbehaving.
- Mr. Stinko (voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson) is the garbage collector of Intrepidville.
- Charmaine is a female Cerebellian, very intelligent, and often debates with Douglas against other schools. She is friends with Douglas, Cindy, and Missy.
- Missy is a Blobullon, similar to Kurt with one eye and purple skin, but a bit smaller. She and Kurt seem to like each other. She is friends with Cindy, Charmaine, and Kurt.
- Leo Andromedos (voiced by Brian Doyle-Murray) is Lloyd and Francine's grandfather and Nora's father. He is like a father figure to Lloyd.
- Jake is one of Rodney's friends. He is also a bully and a jock on the school's crushball team.
- Marcus Xenon is another one of Rodney's bully friends. He is a green, three-eyed, octopus-like alien.
- Violet (voiced by Ashley Johnson) is a friend of Brittany and Megan. Violet is usually shy and, in one episode, she reveals she has a crush on Lloyd, though this was not mentioned again. She was also the president of the school yearbook staff.

Production Notes
Lloyd in Space first appeared in early 2001 as part of Disney's One Saturday Morning on ABC. The show quickly became more popular than expected, which led Disney to order more episodes. Production for Lloyd in Space finished in 2003, after the "Disney's One Saturday Morning" block was no longer on TV. The very last episodes aired in February 2004.
