Where is it located?

Lone Mountain is located in Ulster County, New York. It is surrounded by other interesting mountains. To its southwest, you'll find Table Mountain. To the east, there is Rocky Mountain.

Water Flow Around the Mountain

The water from Lone Mountain flows in different directions.

  • The southeast side of the mountain drains into Rondout Creek. This creek then flows into the Hudson River. Finally, the water reaches New York Bay.
  • The west side of Lone Mountain sends its water into Donovan Brook. This brook joins the East Branch of the Neversink River. The Neversink River then flows into the Delaware River, which empties into Delaware Bay.
  • The north side of the mountain also drains into the East Branch of the Neversink River.
