Luka Jović (Serbian Cyrillic: Лука Јовић) was born on December 23, 1997. He is a professional footballer from Serbia. Luka plays as a striker, which means he focuses on scoring goals. He also plays for the Serbia national team.

Early Life and Football Start

Luka Jović was born in Loznica, which was part of FR Yugoslavia at the time. He grew up in a small village called Batar. His parents are Milan and Svetlana Jović.

He was invited to play in Mini Maxi, a special league for young players in Belgrade. After scoring three goals in just one game, his father was offered money for each game Luka played. This also covered his travel costs from Batar to Belgrade.

At one of these games, a scout from Red Star Belgrade named Toma Milićević saw him play. Luka was invited to try out for Red Star Belgrade. People compared his playing style to famous footballers like Darko Pančev and Radamel Falcao. Falcao was also Luka's idol.
