MADO is a super popular Turkish ice cream and pastry brand. You can find its shops all over the world! It has about 300 stores in Turkey and 22 other countries. The name "MADO" comes from two words. "Maraş" is the old name of the city where it started. "Dondurma" is the special Turkish ice cream.
The Story of MADO
MADO started a very long time ago, in 1850! It was founded by a person named Yaşar Kanbur. For many years, it was just a single ice cream shop.
Growing into a Big Brand
In 1991, the ice cream shop started to grow. It became a big chain with many locations. Today, MADO has more than 305 restaurants and cafes in Turkey.
MADO Around the World
MADO is not just in Turkey. You can find its delicious treats in many countries! These include places like Australia, Canada, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, China, and Germany.
In 2019, MADO opened its very first shop in Taiwan. They worked with a big company there called Teco Group to make it happen.
