Marc Zumoff (born November 18, 1955) is a well-known American sportscaster. He was the main announcer for the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team for many years.
In 2016, he announced games for the United States women's national basketball team for NBC Sports. He also worked for Turner Sports during the 2017 NBA playoffs. Marc Zumoff sometimes announced games for the Philadelphia Union soccer team too. He announced his retirement on June 29, 2021, after working for 27 years.
Zumoff also has his own company called Zumoff Productions. This company helps coach people who want to be news and sports broadcasters. He also helped write a college textbook called Total Sportscasting: Performance, Production and Career Development.

Marc Zumoff's Career
Starting Out in Broadcasting
Marc Zumoff went to Temple University in Philadelphia. While there, he announced Temple Owls football and college basketball games. He started his first broadcasting job in 1977. This was as a radio newsman in Trenton, New Jersey.
He also worked at other radio stations. He became the voice for Princeton University football and basketball. At the same time, he did extra work for KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia. A friend helped him get an audition to announce for the Philadelphia Fever soccer team. He got the job!
In 1982, some of the Fever's games were shown on the PRISM Sports Network. After the team stopped playing, PRISM hired Marc. In 1983, he became the host for the 76ers' pre-game, halftime, and post-game shows. He sometimes announced games for other teams like the Philadelphia Flyers. He also announced for Big East Basketball and other sports events.
Announcing for the Philadelphia 76ers
Marc Zumoff worked with the 76ers broadcast team for 36 years. He was officially named the main TV announcer for the Sixers on August 17, 1994. This was after he hosted their shows for 11 years.
Zumoff has won many awards for his announcing. He won the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for best sports play-by-play broadcaster 18 times. During his time with the Sixers, he worked with six different partners. These included Steve Mix and Eric Snow. Marc Zumoff retired after the 2021 76ers season. Kate Scott took his place.
Other Sports and Community Work
Besides working for NBC at the Rio Olympics, Marc Zumoff also announced for Turner Sports. He covered NBA games for them. He also announced high school football and college football games for NBC Sports Philadelphia. He still sometimes announces for MLS's Philadelphia Union soccer team.
Marc also helps with community events. He leads an annual golf event that helps Maccabi USA. In the past, he hosted a golf event to help a school for students with learning disabilities. He also helped with a basketball tournament called Points for Peace.

Marc Zumoff runs his own company called Zumoff Productions. This company offers coaching for people who want to become news and sports broadcasters. He helps them learn the skills they need.
He also co-authored a college textbook with Max Negin. The book is called Total Sportscasting: Performance, Production and Career Development. It teaches about performance, production, and how to build a career in sportscasting.
Personal Life
Marc Zumoff lives with his wife, Debbie. They have two sons. He is a big fan of the Tottenham Hotspur soccer team.
