Me and My Monsters is a super fun TV show for kids! It's a comedy that mixes real actors with amazing puppets from The Jim Henson Company. This show was made together by Australia and the UK, and it was filmed in Australia. It first came out on CBBC in the UK on October 18, 2010. You can also watch it on Network Ten and Nickelodeon.

Meet the Carlson Family and Their Monsters

The Carlson family moves from Australia to the UK. Guess what? They find three awesome monsters living in their basement! Eddie, the son, loves hanging out with the monsters. His mom thinks they are great too. But his dad and sister, Angela, aren't so sure about their new monster housemates!

Main Characters

  • Eddie Carlson (played by Macauley Keeper) – Eddie is the monsters' best friend. He goes to school at Whitgift in Surrey.
  • Angela Carlson (played by Ivy Latimer) – Angela is Eddie's older sister. She really doesn't like the monsters at all!
  • Kate Carlson (played by Lauren Clair) – Kate is Eddie's mom. She's a cook who works for herself. The monsters have a funny name for her: "human-mum-thingy-person."
  • Nick Carlson (played by Felix Williamson) – Nick is Eddie's dad. He works in advertising. The monsters call him "human-dad-thingy-person."

The Basement Monsters

  • Haggis (performed by Don Austen, voiced by Don Austen) - Haggis is a giant red and orange monster. He's not very good at being scary. In fact, he often scares himself!
  • Norman (performed by Matthew McCoy and Sean Masterson, voiced by David C Collins) - Norman is a purple monster who is a bit strange. He can't talk, but he makes funny noises. Haggis and Fiend always understand him.
  • Fiend (performed by Heath McIvor and Alice Osborne, voiced by Heath McIvor) - Fiend is a small green monster with many eyes. He thinks he's the leader of the monster group.

Four episodes from the TV show were turned into books! Rory Growler wrote all of them.

  • The first book was Monsters in the Basement, based on Series 1, Episode 1.
  • The second book was Monster Mess, based on Series 1, Episode 10.
  • The third book was also called Monster Mess, but it was based on Series 1, Episode 12.
  • The last book was Monster School, based on Series 1, Episode 2.

Even though the last two books were about Series 1 episodes, they came out during Series 2 of the show.
