Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, also known as Moe Al Thani, was born on June 16, 1982. He is a Qatari and Emirati sheikh, which is a title for a leader or a member of a royal family. Moe Al Thani is known for his amazing achievements as a sportsman and for his charity work.
He made history as the first person from Qatar to climb Mount Everest. He also reached the top of all Seven Summits, which are the highest mountains on each continent. Besides climbing, he is the president of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.

Early Life and Education
Sheikh Mohammed is part of the Qatari House of Al Thani royal family. His father is Sheikh Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ali al Thani. He is also connected to the Emirati Al-Qasimi royal family through his grandmother.
He studied at the American University of Sharjah, earning degrees in Marketing and Accounting. He also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Later, he studied Business Administration at Harvard Business School.
Amazing Mountaineering Adventures
Sheikh Mohammed is famous for his incredible climbing achievements. He became the first Qatari to reach the very top of Mount Everest on May 22, 2013. This is the world's highest mountain!
He is also the first Qatari man to complete the Seven Summits. These are the tallest mountains on each of the seven continents. In December 2012, he skied to the South Pole, reaching "the bottom of the world." In November 2020, he climbed Ama Dablam, a challenging mountain in Nepal.
Arabs with Altitude Team
During his Everest climb, Sheikh Mohammed was part of a special group called Arabs with Altitude. This team included the first Palestinian man, Raed Zidan, and the first Saudi woman, Raha Moharrak, to reach the Everest summit. Their journey received a lot of attention from news outlets around the world.

Helping Others Through Philanthropy
Sheikh Mohammed uses his climbing adventures to help people. He was an ambassador for Reach Out To Asia. This organization is part of the Qatar Foundation. It raises money to support education projects in Asia and parts of the Middle East.
His goal was to raise one million dollars for schools and learning programs in Nepal. In October 2014, he led a trip called "Elevate to Educate." A group of 12 young Qataris joined him to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. This trip also helped raise money for education.
Leadership and Business Ventures
Moe Al Thani is a successful businessman and a speaker who inspires others. He is known as a young leader in the Gulf region. He focuses on areas like fitness, hotels, and tourism.
In 2007, he started a travel website called Musafir.com. He also opened Twisted Olive, a modern restaurant in Qatar, in 2020. In 2019, he launched Altitude Elite, a special training studio in Lusail, Qatar.
Sheikh Mohammed is the Deputy Group CEO of Ooredoo, a major telecommunications company. He is also the president of the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum. This museum is the first Arab museum to join the Olympic Museums Network.

Sheikh Mohammed has served on the boards of several important companies. He was a board member for Vodafone Qatar from 2013 to 2016. In 2011, he joined the board of directors for Air Arabia, an airline, alongside his father.

Sheikh Mohammed has also held important roles in public service. In January 2012, he was appointed as the Director General of the Sharjah Statistics Centre. He also served as the chairman of the Department of Community Development for the Emirate of Sharjah.
He was a member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah. His granduncle, Emir Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi of Sharjah, appointed him to these positions. He was also appointed by his granduncle to lead his office at the American University of Sharjah.
