Exploring Mount Nebo's Location
Mount Nebo is a mountain found about 18 kilometers northwest of The Gap. The Gap is a suburb in Brisbane, Australia.
It's part of a group of mountains called the D'Aguilar Range. Other mountains in this range include Mount Pleasant, Mount Glorious, and Mount Mee. A creek called Enoggera Creek starts its journey from Mount Nebo.

Early Settlement and Changes
People started settling here in 1919. This happened when a large area called the Highlands Estate was divided into smaller pieces of land. These smaller pieces were given to soldiers returning from World War I.
For some years, Mount Nebo was part of the Shire of Esk. But between 1932 and 1936, the local boundaries changed. This moved Mount Nebo into the Shire of Pine Rivers. Later, in 2008, many local councils joined together. Now, Mount Nebo is part of the City of Moreton Bay.
Mount Nebo State School History
Mount Nebo State School first opened its doors on February 16, 1931. The school had to close temporarily a few times over the years. It closed from 1934 to 1939, for a short time in 1940, from 1941 to 1946, and again from 1948 to 1954.
