Nicholas Charles Goepper (born March 14, 1994) is an American Olympic freestyle skier. He represents the United States of America in competitions. Goepper has won several medals at the Winter Olympics. He earned a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. He then won silver medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea and the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. Nick Goepper has also achieved great success at the Winter X Games. He has won four gold medals and two silver medals there.

Early life and Skiing Start
Nick Goepper was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He grew up in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He started skiing at Perfect North Slopes when he was five years old. This ski area has an elevation of 800 feet. It also offers 100 acres of terrain for skiing.
Nick began competing in skiing when he was eleven. By the age of thirteen, he landed his first double backflip. He has two younger sisters and one younger brother. He also has a cat.
Skiing Career Highlights
In 2009, Goepper moved to Sandy, Oregon. There, he went to school and trained at Windells Academy. This academy is now called Wy'East Mountain Academy. He received a full scholarship to train with professional skiers. He also attended Westminster College.
Goepper won a gold medal at the 2013-14 FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup. This event took place in Cardrona, New Zealand. He qualified for the 2014 Olympics at the 2013 Dew Tour. This competition was held in Breckenridge, Colorado.
Awards and Recognition
At the 2014 Winter Olympic Games, Nick Goepper made history. He, Gus Kenworthy, and Joss Christensen won all three medals in men's slopestyle skiing. Nick Goepper won the bronze medal. Gus Kenworthy won silver, and Joss Christensen won gold. This was a sweep for the American team.
After their Olympic success, the three skiers appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman. This show is in New York City. They were also featured together on a Kellogg's Corn Flakes cereal box. Nick Goepper was also featured on a Jif peanut butter jar.

Giving Back to the Community
In December 2014, Goepper worked with Wy'East Mountain Academy. They hosted a rail jam competition at Perfect North Slopes. More than 150 people took part in the event. All the money raised went to "The Cure Starts Now Foundation." This foundation supports cancer research.
Goepper also helps lead Wy'East's board of trustees. In June 2017, he joined other Olympic athletes. They went on a week-long trip to Kigali, Rwanda. This trip was organized by "Kids Play International." The group worked to help children through sports.

In 2014, Nick Goepper and his mother were on a TV show. It was called How to Raise an Olympian on NBC Sports. The show was part of the P&G "Thank You, Mom" campaign.
