Ozan Tufan (born March 23, 1995) is a talented Turkish footballer. He plays as a midfielder for Süper Lig club Trabzonspor and also for the Turkey national team. Ozan is mainly an attacking midfielder. However, he can also play as a striker or a right winger, showing how versatile he is on the field!

Ozan's Club Journey
Starting Out and Moving On
Ozan Tufan began his professional football journey in Turkey. On August 19, 2021, he moved outside of Turkey for the first time. He joined Premier League club Watford in England on a loan deal. This loan was meant to last a whole season.
However, on February 2, 2022, his loan ended early. Ozan returned to Turkey after playing only nine games for Watford. The team's Academy Manager, Omer Riza, mentioned that Ozan found it hard to get used to the fast pace of the Premier League.
Playing for Hull City
On July 1, 2022, Ozan Tufan signed with Championship club Hull City. He signed a three-year contract, with an option for another year. He played his first game for Hull City on July 30, 2022. In that match against Bristol City, he scored a penalty kick to tie the game.
Ozan scored his first hat-trick (three goals in one game) for Hull City on August 12, 2023. This happened in a 4–2 home victory against Sheffield Wednesday. In September 2023, Ozan was named Hull City's Player of the Month for August.
Back to Turkey with Trabzonspor
On June 27, 2024, Ozan Tufan moved back to Turkey. He joined Trabzonspor for an undisclosed fee.
Ozan's International Career
Playing for Youth Teams
Ozan Tufan played for the Turkey national under-19 team. This team won the silver medal at the 2013 Mediterranean Games. This event took place in Mersin, Turkey. He also played for his country in the 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
Playing for the Senior National Team
On May 25, 2014, Ozan played his very first game for the senior Turkey squad. This match was against Ireland in Dublin.
On September 3, 2014, Ozan scored his first goal for the national team. It was a powerful shot from far away against Denmark. He scored in the 90th minute of a friendly game, helping Turkey win 2–1. After the game, he said that his teammate Arda Turan encouraged him to shoot. He was a bit scared but kept his cool and scored. He thanked his coach, Fatih Terim, for giving him the chance to play.
