Peyton Roi List (born April 6, 1998) is an American actress and model. She is famous for playing Emma Ross in the Disney Channel show Jessie. She has also been in many movies and other TV shows, like Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Cobra Kai.

Peyton's Acting Journey
Early Steps in Acting and Modeling (2002–2008)
Peyton List started her career very young as a child model. She appeared on the cover of American Girl magazine in 2009. She also modeled for Justice magazine in 2011. Before acting, she was in over 400 advertisements!
She began acting in TV shows and movies. In 2002, she had a small, uncredited role in the soap opera As the World Turns. She also appeared in All My Children in 2004. That same year, she had a quick, uncredited appearance in the movie Spider-Man 2. Her first credited movie role was in 27 Dresses (2008), where she played a younger version of the main character. This movie was very popular and helped her start her acting career.
Becoming a Star with Disney (2010–2015)
Peyton began getting more movie roles. In 2010, she was in the movie Remember Me with Robert Pattinson. She played Samantha, a girl who was mean to his character's younger sister. That same year, she started working with Disney. She played a young Becky in the fantasy movie The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Peyton also starred as Holly Hills in the comedy movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules in 2011. Holly Hills was the crush of Greg Heffley. This movie was very successful, and Peyton played Holly again in the sequel, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days. The cast of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, including Peyton, won a Young Artist Award for their acting!
In 2011, Peyton started her most famous role on Disney Channel. She was cast as Emma Ross in the show Jessie. Emma was the oldest of four rich children. The show was very popular and had millions of viewers. Jessie ran for four seasons and ended in 2015. After Jessie ended, Peyton continued playing Emma Ross in the spin-off show Bunk'd. She also appeared as Emma Ross in other Disney Channel shows like Austin & Ally and I Didn't Do It.
From 2013 to 2014, Peyton also co-hosted a Disney Channel show called Pass the Plate with Karan Brar. This show taught kids about healthy eating. In 2014, she voiced Princess Rose in the English version of the German animated movie The Seventh Dwarf.
New Roles and Challenges (2016–Present)
In 2016, Peyton starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie The Swap as Ellie O'Brien. She also appeared in the YouTube Premium movie The Thinning as Laina Michaels. In 2017, she was in the teen comedy movie The Outcasts.
In 2018, Peyton announced she would be leaving Bunk'd and Disney Channel. She continued her role as Laina Michaels in The Thinning: New World Order, the sequel to The Thinning. She also starred in the romantic movie Then Came You with Asa Butterfield.
Peyton also took on a main role in the supernatural web series Light as a Feather in 2018. That same year, she released her first song called "Liar Liar". In 2019, she voiced Barbara Gordon / Batgirl in the animated superhero movie Batman: Hush. She also joined the popular action series Cobra Kai as Tory Nichols. She has been a big part of the show's second, third, and fourth seasons.
More recently, in 2020, Peyton was in the musical movie Valley Girl. She also had a role in the Netflix comedy-horror movie Hubie Halloween and the drama movie Paper Spiders. In 2022, it was announced that Peyton would star in a new TV series called School Spirits for Paramount+.
Sharing a Name
Peyton List shares her name with another actress, Peyton List, who was born in 1986. To avoid confusion, the younger Peyton List often uses Peyton R. List. It's a funny situation because they even appeared in the same scene once on the show As the World Turns! Years later, they sometimes got each other's messages and schedules when staying at the same hotel. Both actresses also voiced characters in the animated movie Batman: Hush, with the younger Peyton as Batgirl and the older Peyton as Poison Ivy.
