Poliez-Pittet is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Gros-de-Vaud area (or district) in the Vaud region (or canton) of Switzerland. It's a peaceful place with a rich history and beautiful natural surroundings.

Poliez-Pittet is quite old! It was first written about between 1160 and 1179, when it was called Poleto. Later, in 1230, people referred to it as Pollie lo Pitet.

The municipality used to be part of the Echallens District. However, that district was closed on August 31, 2006. Poliez-Pittet then became part of the new Gros-de-Vaud district. The town is located on the left side of the Mentue river.
