Prescott is a city in Pierce County, Wisconsin. It's located right where the St. Croix River flows into the mighty Mississippi River. This makes Prescott a special place with beautiful river views.
The city is also very close to the big Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. Many people who live in Prescott travel to these larger cities for work or school. In 2020, about 4,333 people lived here. This makes Prescott the second-largest city in Pierce County.
Prescott was once home to the mother house of the Franciscan Servants of Jesus. The town got its name from Philander Prescott, who started a trading post here in 1839.
