Rohr was once a small town, or municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the Aarau area, which is part of the canton of Aargau. Since January 1, 2010, Rohr has become a part of the larger city of Aarau. Think of it like a smaller town joining a bigger city nearby.

History of Rohr
Rohr is a very old place! It was first written about in the year 1027. Back then, its name was spelled Rore. This shows that people have lived in this area for a very long time.

Rohr covers an area of about 3.4 square kilometers (which is about 1.3 square miles). This is how the land is used:

The town of Rohr was shaped like a long line of houses. It sat on a raised area, or terrace, above the Aare river valley.
