The Sahwave Mountains are a cool mountain range located in Pershing County, Nevada. These mountains stretch from north to south. They are a great example of the many ranges found in the Basin and Range Province. This is a huge area in the western United States where the land has been stretched. This stretching created many long, parallel mountain ranges and flat valleys in between them.

The Sahwave Mountains are found in the southwestern part of Pershing County. Their lowest hills even reach into Churchill County. Imagine a long, narrow strip of mountains. That's what the Sahwaves are like!
