Scott Edward Adkins (born on June 17, 1976) is a famous English actor and martial artist. He became well-known for playing the tough Russian fighter Yuri Boyka. This role was in the movie Undisputed II: Last Man Standing (2006).
He played Boyka again in the sequels Undisputed III: Redemption (2010) and Boyka: Undisputed (2017). For these roles, he won awards like the Action on Film Award. He also won a Jackie Chan Action Movie Award.
Scott Adkins had small parts in early films like The Accidental Spy (2001). His first main role was Casey Bowman in Ninja (2009). He also appeared in big action movies. These include The Expendables 2 (2012) and John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023).
Adkins started learning martial arts at age 13. He trained in many styles. These include taekwondo, judo, kickboxing, and Krav Maga.

Scott Edward Adkins was born in Sutton Coldfield, England, on June 17, 1976. His family worked as butchers. He first got interested in martial arts when he was ten years old. He visited a local Judo club with his father and older brother.
When he was 13, he was robbed. This made him even more interested in learning to defend himself. He began practicing taekwondo that same year. At 16, he started kickboxing. He later became a kickboxing instructor.
Scott Adkins has learned many martial arts styles. These include aikido, capoeira, jujutsu, karate, and wushu.
He was inspired by famous action stars. These include Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, and Jean-Claude Van Damme. He said he wanted to be an actor because he looked up to these heroes.
Scott Adkins' Acting Journey
Scott Adkins got his first film role in a Hong Kong martial arts movie. It was called Extreme Challenge (2001). He was noticed by top action directors there. He worked with famous names like Jackie Chan and Sammo Hung.
Soon, he started getting roles in British TV shows. He appeared in Doctors and EastEnders. He also had a regular role in Holby City.
His big break in movies came when he played Yuri Boyka. This was in Undisputed II: Last Man Standing (2006). He played a powerful Russian underground fighter. This role made him famous.
After that, he got roles in bigger movies. He was in The Bourne Ultimatum (2007). He also played the main bad guy against Jean-Claude Van Damme in The Shepherd: Border Patrol (2008).
