Scott Edward Adkins (born on June 17, 1976) is a talented English actor and martial artist. He is well-known for playing the character Yuri Boyka, a Russian prison fighter, in the action movie Undisputed II: Last Man Standing (2006). He played this role again in the sequels Undisputed III: Redemption (2010) and Boyka: Undisputed (2017). For his role in Undisputed III, he won an Action on Film Award for Breakout Action Star. He also won a Jackie Chan Action Movie Award for Best Action Movie Actor for Boyka: Undisputed.
Scott Adkins started his acting career with smaller roles in movies like The Accidental Spy (2001) and The Medallion (2003). His first main role was as Casey Bowman in the martial arts film Ninja (2009). He also appeared in big action films such as The Expendables 2 (2012) and John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023).
Adkins has been training in martial arts since he was 13 years old. He started with taekwondo and earned his black belt when he was 19. He has also learned other martial arts styles, including judo, kickboxing, capoeira, Krav Maga, Jeet Kune Do, and Wushu.

Scott Edward Adkins was born in Sutton Coldfield, England, on June 17, 1976. His family worked as butchers. He first became interested in martial arts when he was ten years old. He visited a local Judo club with his father and older brother.
When he was 13, he was robbed, which made him even more interested in learning self-defense. That same year, he began practicing taekwondo. At 16, he started kickboxing and later became a kickboxing instructor. He has also gained experience in many other martial arts, such as aikido, capoeira, gymnastics, jujutsu, karate, Krav Maga, MMA, ninjutsu, and wushu.
Scott Adkins was inspired by famous action stars like Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Steven Seagal. He once said that he wanted to be an actor because he looked up to these action heroes.

Scott Adkins got his first role in a Hong Kong martial arts film called Extreme Challenge (2001). He was noticed by important people in the Hong Kong film industry, which gave him the chance to work with top action directors.
He also appeared in British TV shows like Doctors (2000), EastEnders (2003), and Holby City (2006). His big break in movies came when he played Talbot in Special Forces (2003) and especially Yuri Boyka in Undisputed II: Last Man Standing (2006). His role as the tough Russian fighter Yuri Boyka made him famous.
