Sonakshi Sinha was born on June 2, 1987, in Patna, Bihar, India. Her father, Shatrughan Sinha, is an actor and a politician from Bihar. Her mother, Poonam Sinha, is also an actress and comes from a Sindhi Hindu family. Her father was a Member of Parliament, which means he was elected to represent people in the Indian government.
Sonakshi is the youngest of three children. She has two older twin brothers named Luv Sinha and Kush Sinha. She went to school at Arya Vidya Mandir. Early Success (2010–2014)
Sonakshi Sinha started her acting career in 2010 with the movie Dabangg. She starred alongside famous actor Salman Khan. This movie was a huge hit and became one of the highest-earning films of 2010. For her role as a village girl, Sonakshi had to lose 30 kg. Critics liked her performance, with one saying she looked "fresh" and acted "confidently."
