Soral is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland. It's a peaceful place with a rich history.

Soral's Past
Soral was first written about way back in 1236. At that time, it was known as Sorraz.
Where is Soral?
Soral covers an area of about 2.95 square kilometers (which is about 1.14 square miles). Most of this land, about 82.7%, is used for farming. This means there are lots of fields for crops, pastures for animals, and even orchards or vineyards.
About 4.1% of Soral's land is covered by forests. The rest, about 12.5%, has buildings and roads.
Soral is the southernmost town in the Geneva area. It sits right on the border between Switzerland and France. You can find it between two French towns: Saint-Julien-en-Genevois and Viry.
The municipality of Soral includes a few smaller areas or villages. These are Plaine-du-Loup, Les Lolliets, and Entre-Deux-Vignobles.
