Sorens is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the Gruyère district, which is part of the Fribourg area (or canton). Sorens is known for its beautiful natural surroundings and its quiet, peaceful life.

Sorens Through Time: A Brief History

Sorens was first mentioned a very long time ago, around the years 974-975. Back then, it was called Sotringus. It used to have a German name, Soring, but that name isn't used anymore.
